Launched supply of “NSCarbolex Neutral” to HUPSTEEL
Nippon Steel Corporation (Nippon Steel) in a joint endeavor with Nippon Steel Trading Corporation are proud to announce that “NSCarbolexTM Neutral” will be supplied to Singapore steel pipe distributor HUPSTEEL PTE. LTD. ( HUPSTEEL*1). This is the first receipt of orders in our seamless line pipe products.
HUPSTEEL, based in Singapore, has been one of the largest steel pipe distributors in the country for more than 75 years, and has developed its business with a focus on steel pipes in the Asia-Pacific region. Nippon Steel supplies seamless steel pipes to the company for the petrochemical, construction, marine, and offshore sectors.
HUPSTEEL’s recognition of Nippon Steel’s carbon neutral vision led to the company supplying steel pipes that apply NSCarbolex Neutral.
As reducing CO2 emissions is an urgent issue in all industries, Nippon Steel will collaborate with HUPSTEEL to become a front-runner in sustainable steel distribution in the Asia-Pacific region through the provision of green steel “NSCarbolex Neutral”.

Incremental reductions of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions achieved through projects with additionality implemented by steel manufacturing companies is pooled in the organization, and thereafter steel products are supplied with certificates, in accordance with the guideline established by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF). Customers who purchase green steels that applies mass balance approach can report the reduction from GHG protocol Scope 3 emissions.
