Shin-Fuso Metal Industries, Ltd. was established.

CY1950

Yahata Iron & Steel Co.,ltd and Fuji Iron & Steel Co.,ltd was established

CY1952

Shin-Fuso Metal Industries, Ltd. changed name to Sumitomo Metal Industries, Ltd.

CY1970

Yawata Iron & Steel and Fuji Iron & Steel merged to form Nippon Steel Corporation.
